…and thou shall know that I am the LORD for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
Isaiah 49: 23

A certain sister wept with regret when she realized her mistake in going ahead of the Lord. She compromised her stand due to pressure and became pregnant before marriage. It is true that to some this does not matter as long as the two get married but to God Almighty, it does. God will never lower His standard for anyone for any reason. While in that marriage, this sister met with grave challenges that showed her that what she compromised to get was a snare to her.

The Lord has promised that those who wait on Him will not be ashamed. For this reason, beware of anything that makes you rush into a decision without first praying through.

The Lord once told Kenneth E. Hagin that it was better for Hagin to be slow waiting for Him than for him to be too fast ahead of Him (God). Any man that goes ahead of the Lord in anything will soon return with regrets. Speed is one of the signs of satanic influence. Beware when you feel an irresistible urge to do something. Satan pressures, but the Lord leads. With pressing urges, the enemy will push you to sin. Subject every decision to ‘waiting’. If it survives and you have peace about it after prayer, then go ahead.

As you go about your work in this new week, put God first in your decisions. We live in fast times but wait for the Lord. May the Lord prosper all that you lay your hands upon in this week.
