THE PREVAILING WORD

Tuesday, October 17

So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
Acts 19: 20

The Word of God takes the place of the unseen Christ, says Kenneth Copeland. There is no doubt that those who truly believe this will go to any length to get the Word of God into them.

In the days when the Lord walked this earth, many had to travel from one place to another in search of Him. There must have been some who wanted to go after Him but were too ill to do so. For example, the lame man at the gate called Beautiful was there when Jesus was around physically. Many had to be carried by others and their movements depended on the willingness of others to help them. But, today the story has changed. You can be with Jesus anytime you choose to.

The Bible is Jesus in print. If you truly desire to be with Jesus then spend time with your Bible - reading and obeying it. When you meditate on God's Word, you are thinking about Jesus and this is what brings abiding faith.

A woman was due to have a child and after she got to the hospital things went bad. She was then referred to a specialist where she was to go through a surgery. Because she did not want a surgery and she was afraid, she turned to the Lord.

After praying, she opened a book she had in her bag which was written by Kenneth E. Hagin. On a page of it was written, 'Act as if the Word of God is true.' Faith came into her and she began to thank God for hearing her prayers for normal delivery. Shortly, a more urgent issue came up and all the doctors had to leave her for some time. Then her baby came out on its own.

The Word of God is true. It prevails when you act on it.
